Job Description

Under the direction of the VP of Operations, you will manage multiple plant operations in a specific region.  You will provide leadership and direction to Plant Managers in the region. Setting goals, monitoring work & evaluating results to ensure that the plant(s) organizational objectives and operating requirements are met and are in line with the needs and mission of the organization will be key to your success.  Responsibilities will include:

• Responsible for P&L of assigned plants.    
• Lead the plants in embracing safety, environmental compliance, ESG, quality & operational strategic initiatives.
• Review and approve plans for the control of plant output, budget spending and labor efficiency. 
• Review performance against operating plans and standards.  Partner with the finance team & plant manager to analyze and interpret results and approve changes in the direction of the plant.
• Develop and recommend operational policy changes.
• Define objectives for each operation developing short and long term plans, programs and goals along with supporting budget requests & financial estimates.
• Partner with sales, quality and customer service to develop and maintain a strong customer focus and relationships.
• Review, approve and secure corporate approval for major projects and functional changes within the region.
• Establish objectives and procedures governing the performance of plant activities.
• Audit the plants for safety, quality and housekeeping.
• Lead the plants in trial preparation and implementation, partnering closely with the plant manager(s) and sales team to secure & grow business.
• Ensure training needs, initiatives and developmental plans are meeting expectation.
•  Responsible for succession planning within the region and supporting overall company goals.
• Partner with HR to investigate and resolve employee concerns within each facility.
• Review and approve personnel actions within the region.
• Keep employees informed as to the company plans and progress.
• Ensure that customer complaints are duly investigated and adjusted.
  
   

Qualifications

• Along with a drive for results, excellent leadership experience, you will bring with you a B.S., Engineering or Business Discipline or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of 5 years in a senior operational position with P&L responsibility in a manufacturing environment
•  A demonstrated track record in making sound business decisions.
• Documented experience with creating and implementing processes that result in quality business performance.
