Position Summary:

The Sr. Analyst is a Miami based position for the Destination Development team and is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, execution, and delivery of strategic development projects. Additionally, the candidate will oversee the relationship of a subset of our existing JV partners, plan and execute Board of Directors meetings, and ensure the entities are maintaining RCG guest experience standards, under the supervision of the Sr. Manager / Director.  The successful candidate will have a desire to learn, assist with, and in some cases lead contract negotiation, research, financial analysis, project execution, and consensus building. Strong organization skills are a must, and the candidate must be task oriented with an ability to balance and appropriately prioritize tasks. Strong written and verbal communication skills are crucial, as this individual will be tasked with (1) liaising with colleagues from multiple departments and among varying levels of management across the company to track down key information needed to advance our projects and (2) writing memos and preparing executive presentations summarizing such information. This position will support the entire Americas and Caribbean team..

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Interact with various internal/external stakeholders to gather critical information to drive projects to completion, including but not limited to: legal, deployment, financial team (accounting, corporate capital, strategy, and treasury), government relations, destination development communication, product development, marine operations, and port operations.
  • Coordinate Board of Directors meetings, including ensuring relevant materials are prepared, socialized and timely delivered to RCG Board Members and relevant stakeholders.
  • Act as the main point of contact for a subset of RCG’s investment partners to ensure compliance with corporate, entity level and governmental controls, rules and regulations.
  • Utilize written, verbal, and visual communication strategies to compile project information and take a first pass at drafting memos, term sheets, contract summaries and presentations for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the Directors and Managers of Destination Development and step in for meetings as needed.
  • Exhibit an ability to evaluate various types of legal contracts to extract any synthesize key information necessary for negotiations or strategic discussions. 
  • Lead certain projects / negotiations with the support of Destinations Development leadership.
  • Plan conferences and corporate events for the Destination Development team.
  • Lead contact for the Destination Development Region for asset under management.
  • Periodically report on status and advancement of destination development initiatives
  • Travel, meet, and engage key stakeholders within the destinations to listen, understand and assist in addressing the challenges that exist. Travel at times can be as high as 50% of a given month.
  • Assist Destination Development Leadership in
    • (1) overseeing assets / JV’s under management for the region, including but not limited to review of Board of Director materials and annual financial statements,
    • (2) review and interpret financial models / financial statements,
    • (3) ensuring compliance with annual budgets / forecasts.

 

Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills:

  • BA/BS Minimum.
  • Spanish speaker preferred.  Other languages a plus.
  • 3-5+ years of progressive experience in the cruise industry.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication, consensus building and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and priorities. 
  • Task oriented and reliable with an ability to report on status updates and anticipated timelines. 
  • A global thinker who is familiar with different countries and different cultures is important. 
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, general business periodicals, contracts, legal documents, and technical reports.
