Job Description

SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Business Continuity Sr Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining run books, conducting business impact assessments (BIAs), and facilitating tabletop exercises to ensure organizational resilience and preparedness.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Run Book Development:

• Create, update, and maintain detailed run books for various business processes and IT systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information and ensure accuracy and completeness of run books.
• Ensure run books are easily accessible and understandable for all relevant stakeholders.

Business Impact Assessments (BIAs):

• Conduct comprehensive BIAs to identify critical business functions and the potential impact of disruptions.
• Analyze data to determine recovery time objectives (RTOs) and recovery point objectives (RPOs).
• Develop and recommend strategies to mitigate identified risks and enhance business continuity.

Tabletop Exercises:

• Plan, organize, and facilitate regular tabletop exercises to test and validate business continuity plans.
• Develop realistic scenarios to simulate potential disruptions and assess the organization's response.
• Document findings and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all business continuity activities.
• Prepare and present reports on the status of business continuity plans and activities to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Training and Awareness:

• Conduct training sessions and workshops to raise awareness of business continuity practices among employees.
• Provide guidance and support to business units in developing their own continuity plans.

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS

Minimum Degree:  Bachelor’s Degree

Course of Study: Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field

Special Certification or Licensing: Certification in business continuity (e.g., CBCP, MBCI) is a plus

Special Requirements: 

• Strong understanding of business continuity principles and best practices.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum experience: 5+ years of experience in business continuity planning, disaster recovery, or a related field.

Legal Age Requirements:  At least 18 years of age

• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey information and present findings.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in business continuity software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.

• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
• Project Management: Experience in managing projects and ensuring timely completion of tasks
