Job Description

What you will do

Manages multiple development projects, development teams, and/or application support functions. Recruits, directs, motivates and develops staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth, and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team. Oversees the development and implementation of multiple, complex, organization-wide systems. Works closely with client departments in development and implementation of technology strategies and application systems. Advises application owners on the technology possibilities and requirements. Provides direction and oversight for application support functions to ensure quality processing while meeting or exceeding application service level commitments. Defines and manages resource requirements and allocations, monitors and improves quality, and ensures 'best practice' development techniques. Interfaces with clients to ensure application systems and projects are meeting or exceeding their expectations. Provides direction and manages resolution of applications issues. Manages staff and recommends hires, transfers, terminations, performance standards and reviews. Plans, develops and controls project/product budgets.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Six or more years of experience with developing and implementing applications
- Minimum one year of experience with major tasks, deliverables, formal methodologies and disciplines for delivering new or enhanced applications

Preferred Skills/Experienc

  • Application deployment and management in a Rancher/Kubernetes environment

  • Proficient in Jenkins Software Deployment

  • Manage creation and monitoring of synthetic transactions using DataDog and other tools

  • Familiar with end-to-end SDLC process (preferably including U.S. Bank ClearPATH)

  • Production support abilities (including SQL queries, log monitoring)

  • Working experience in Application delivery process, IT service, project and systems management, Information management, Application development tools, IT standards, procedures, policy

Location Expectations

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.
