Preschool Building Support Provider

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for compassionate and dependable individuals to join our team as Preschool Building Support. In this role, you will provide essential support to teachers and students by assisting in classrooms, facilitating lunch breaks, and helping with various tasks that ensure the smooth operation of the day. Ideal candidates should enjoy working with young children and be flexible in assisting where needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  

• Experience working with young children is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• Flexible and willing to assist with various tasks as needed.
• Attend all mandatory staff meetings when scheduled
• Complete specified trainings and attend professional development as needed

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Visit multiple classrooms daily to provide support as needed.
• Break teachers for lunch and assist with classroom coverage during breaks.
• Knowledge in setting up tables for a "family style meal" setting
• Interact with students, providing a positive and nurturing environment.
• Help with teacher tasks, such as organizing materials.
• Work one-on-one with students when additional support is required
• Assist with printing, copying, and laminating
• Fridays-coverage in classrooms when teachers need to be relieved for planning/preparation time

SCHEDULE:  

Part Time, Monday - Friday

SALARY: 

In accordance to the current West Bloomfield School District Community Education Salary Schedule.
