Job Description
- Lead a global team responsible for Arista’s Service Logistics and Repair Operations – a team responsible for Arista’s worldwide Service Depots, spares parts inventory planning, RMA delivery, RMA asset retrieval, reverse logistics, repair, and failure analysis operations.
- Lead global teams, including managerial staff and their direct reports, in driving performance to achieve operational goals.
- Lead team in developing capabilities and shaping long-term strategy for Arista’s Service Logistics and Repair functions.
- Drive scale and process development within the Service Operations function, growing Arista’s global service depot footprint and related capabilities – warehousing, IOR, EOR, trade compliance, transportation management, and reverse logistics - to support Arista’s growing customer base and product portfolio.
- Drive scale and process development within the Service Planning function, developing service planning processes and tools in order to scale and optimize depot inventory levels, achieving required fill rates while minimizing inventory investment.
- Drive scale and process development within the Repair Operations function, developing partner strategy, capacity plans, component planning and procurement processes, and engineering change management processes, while scaling repair output.
- Collaborate with Failure Analysis and Field Quality teams to elevate the performance of Arista’s failure analysis partners, improving failure analysis cycle times, fault isolation capabilities, and quality data accumulation.
- Develop product lifecycle management processes across the various functions, ensuring the successful introduction of new products into the service supply chain, and successful decommission of end of life products.
- Own business relationship and drive operational execution – cost, quality, delivery - with Arista’s service operations partners, including 3PLs, IOR/EOR partners, Logistics partners, and Repair vendors. Develop partner strategy to support Arista’s growth.
- Collaborate with peers in Technical Support, Manufacturing, Engineering, IT, and Finance to improve Service Supply Chain tools, processes, and systems – including next gen CRM, ERP, and RMA tools.
- Accountable for key performance metrics, including Inventory Fill Rate, Inventory Excess, RMA On Time Delivery, Asset Retrieval %, Asset Retrieval Cycle Time, Repair-to-New Buy Ratio, and Failure Analysis Cycle Time.
- Accountable for total cost of end-to-end operation, including cost of 3PL operations, freight and transportation, IOR/EOR, repair and failure analysis operations, and RMA inventory consumption.
- Drive headcount plans and budgets for organization.
- Recruit, train, and develop employees with a focus on operational excellence and customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- Degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering related field
- 15+ years of experience in Service Logistics or Manufacturing Operations, preferably in high-tech industry
- 5+ years of experience in managing direct reports
- Experience in Service Operations, including 3PL partner management, trade compliance, and service inventory planning
- Experience in forward and/or reverse logistics
- Experience in contract manufacturing and/or repair and refurbishment operations
- Strong understanding of CRM and ERP systems, and supply chain concepts
- Strong understanding of product lifecycle management, including Engineering Change Order (ECO) management, Bills of Material (BOM) maintenance, and Approved Vendor Listing (AVL) adherence
- Ability to work cross-functionally, including ability to balance the technical and business aspects of hardware manufacturing
- Self-starter who has the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
- Ability to influence and motivate internal and external partners
- Strong communication and presentation skills
Additional Information
The new hire base pay for this role has a pay range of $167,000 to $204,000.
