Your Impact:
As the Director of Operations, you will serve as a strategic leader overseeing the day-to-day operations of the production department, ensuring that survey projects are executed efficiently, accurately, and on schedule. You will directly manage and mentor a cross-functional team—including Project Managers, Survey Coordinator, and Field Manager—while also maintaining high standards of quality and compliance across all survey deliverables. With your deep expertise in land surveying and strong operational oversight, you will drive productivity, balance workloads, uphold client satisfaction, and contribute to the company’s financial health and operational excellence.
Core Responsibilities:

Lead all daily functions of the production department from the Pueblo West, CO office.

Implement and enforce the Clark Manual’s standards, procedures, and operational protocols.

Manage the scheduling and workflow of project teams to ensure the timely delivery of services.

Supervise and support project managers, survey coordinators, and field managers.

Assign new projects and clients to appropriate project teams based on capacity and expertise.

Balance workloads and optimize team efficiency across the department.

Conduct regular operations and land survey team meetings.

Review, stamp, and sign survey deliverables in compliance with licensure standards.

Provide quality control oversight for all survey work.

Step in to support production activities when necessary to ensure smooth delivery.

Serve as the primary liaison for clients and vendors.

Maintain and expand a national network of subcontractors (Survey, Utilities, Title).

Collaborate with the Pearce Sales team to ensure legal documentation flows smoothly.

Work weekly with the Pearce Finance team to review income, expenses, and revenue forecasting.

Track and report key operational metrics, including:

Maintain and update pricing matrices and rate sheets.

Oversee billing processes and analyze project budget performance.

Assist Project Managers with proposal development for new opportunities.

Address and resolve personnel issues within the production department.
Core Experience:

Must hold an active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license; multi-state licensure preferred.

Advanced skills in CAD software and Microsoft Office Suite

Strong general computer proficiency and ability to manage digital workflows.

Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams.

Familiarity with internal company standards and documentation requirements.Strong interpersonal, decision-making, and client communication skills.
