Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities:
Facilities Planning:
- Assist in directing small R&R and roadway projects from inception to completion.
Operations:
- Provide direction in campus building operations and associated duties.
Department Administration:
- Assist in managing department budget and expenditures.
- Assist in supervising maintenance of buildings, grounds, and equipment.
- Coordinate preventive and emergency maintenance for various systems.
Provide input and direction to Maintenance and Custodial operations. Assist in implementing personnel policies and resolving issues. Enforce safety regulations and investigate accidents/injuries. Assist in room reservations including setup/breakdown for events. Maintain key inventory, issuance, and lock codes for the campus. Manage Facilities Service Request forms and related work orders. Maintain campus signage and oversee exterior roads/parking signage. Conduct activities with appreciation for diversity and inclusivity.
Tasks Associated with the Position:
- Electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry maintenance and repairs.
- Grounds maintenance including landscaping and snow removal.
- Custodial services support and setup for special functions.
- Attend meetings and training programs as necessary.
- Must be willing and able to travel as needed.
- Other duties as required or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates degree in a related field with three years work experience OR five years related work experience with industry certifications.
- Two years supervisory experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field and 2-3 years work experience.
