JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Penn State College of Medicine, Chroneos Lab in the Department of Pediatrics in Hershey PA is seeking a qualified, motivated Summer Intern to join a talented research team. We are searching for a highly organized and self-motivated individual to assist with research focusing on staining slides generated in the research project.
Preferred Requirements:
- Must be a current undergraduate student pursuing a degree in a relevant field (e.g., Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related discipline).
- Basic Laboratory Skills: While no prior research experience is required, a strong interest in science and a willingness to learn and apply basic lab techniques are essential.
- Initiative: The ability to take the initiative, ask questions, and actively engage in research activities is highly valued.
The following clearances must be successfully completed for this position:
- Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Background Check
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse History
- Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Criminal Background Check
