Job Description
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Act as the project contracts management subject matter expert, providing input to numerous active and future projects.
- Provide pre-award contract administration advice to the portfolio and work closely with the client procurement team to compose and execute contracts for goods and services, including reviewing procurement plans, contracting plans, scopes of work, specifications, and draft RFP/RFT documents.
- Perform post award, day-to-day contract management activities including, but not limited to,
- attending and/or chairing progress meetings
- monitoring schedules
- expediting
- drafting of change documents
- facilitate change processes
- facilitating negotiation of claims and disputes
- forecasting
- accrual reporting
- validation of payment requests
- tracking of contract submittals and other deliverables
- monitor document controls and contract interpretation
- draft contractual letters and other communications and notice
- In addition to above contract management duties, assist in the design and implementation of innovative strategies to enhance vendor management and optimize contract spend.
- Responsible for monitoring, analyzing and reporting on a monthly basis the expenditures on all contracts.
- Liaise closely with the client appointed project controls team to provide weekly / bi-weekly and monthly reports and updates as required.
- Candidate is required to attend construction site fulltime, located in Clarksville, TN.
Key success factors for the role will include the ability to work with and influence others (both internal and external stakeholders), the ability to understand and optimize detailed contract terms and conditions and the ability to implement continuous improvements to streamline processes.
Qualifications
- At least 8 years’ experience in a large project environment.
- The successful candidate must have a business-related Degree or equivalent (relevant experience in lieu of degree will be considered).
- Demonstrated experience managing and understanding complex installation, supply, consulting services and construction contracts is required.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiating, project management, planning and organizational skills.
- Proven abilities (as they relate to contract management) in influencing internal and external parties, managing risk, and optimizing costs through innovation.
- Proficiency with MS Office including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
- Desirable to have contract management experience in commercial real estate projects such as Tenant Improvements of office spaces, Base business projects and EV battery plants.
