The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Manufacturing Technology Engineer in Dental Solutions, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Providing manufacturing leadership on cross-functional New Product Introduction (NPI) teams for the Dental Solutions business.
- Developing and executing design transfer & technology transfer plans for new products and processes to the manufacturing floor; safely, on-time, and within budget.
- Identifying and implementing continuous improvement project using transformative manufacturing technologies to improve product cost, service, and quality.
- Completing formal process validation studies and documenting work in accordance with established procedures for medical device manufacturing.
- Manufacturing process development: Gathering process related input through experimentation and prototyping for the design & scale-up of new process equipment.
- Developing and communicating capital project proposals for new processing technologies and continuous improvement opportunities.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution AND Three years of manufacturing technology engineering, process engineering, product engineering, or product development in a private, public, government or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, chemical engineering or material science and engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum three years’ experience in any of the following areas: 3D printing, automation, laser processing, robotics, vision systems, packaging, food processing or plastic injection molding in a private, public, government or military environment.
- Experience working in a medical device or regulated business utilizing Continuous Improvement methodologies to solve complex problems.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software (SolidWorks or Siemens NX)
- Experience leading cross functional teams.
- Excels at selling complex technical topics to manufacturing management. Strong written and oral communications skills.
Work location:
- Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to Maplewood, MN at least 3 days per week.
Travel: May include up to 15% domestic/international
