Physician’s Assistant/Nurse Practitioner – PHP & Interventional Services

The Physician’s Assistant/Nurse Practitioner – PHP & Interventional Services will engage with patients in the Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Interventional Services programs to provide medical services for patients under the supervision of a Psychiatrist.

This part-time position will be based in our Nashville clinic with a schedule of 5PM-8PM on Monday and Wednesday.

• Perform physical examinations and elicit detailed, accurate patient histories.
• Assist in prescribing therapeutic plans and treatments.
• Assist with short term and long term patient care needs.
• Oversee patients undergoing Spravato treatments in clinic.
• Document services provided in the electronic medical record (EMR) consistent with standards of practice, internal policies of Athena Care, and HIPAA or other regulatory requirements.
• Maintain appropriate licensure, supervision, and continuing education requirements in a manner consistent with standards of practice.
• Maintains knowledge of current standards of care and research in the field; applies knowledge to improve practice and provision of care.
• Adheres to appropriate practice guidelines and scope of practice in provision of care.
• Must be eligible to participate in commercial Insurance networks and Medicare.
• Other job duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education/Experience:

• Master's degree in Nursing or PA Studies from an accredited program required.

Licenses/Certifications:

• Current, valid APRN or PA license issued by the state of TN required.
• Current, valid DEA registration required.
