The Member Leadership team oversees programs focused on developing the leadership skills of the members of the College and fostering the next generation of the leaders of ACC. The Member Leadership Program Manager will oversee the Leadership Accelerator and Leadership Forum programs and provide support to other leadership programs as needed.
This position is based in Washington, DC where we have a hybrid work environment (two days per week in the office).
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversees all program management of the annual Leadership Forum, including serving as the staff liaison, working closely with the member leader chairing the program to plan content, managing all logistical components for in-person and virtual meetings, planning content in collaboration with outside vendors, coordinating with ACC staff for meetings and orientation sessions, and determining trends that must be addressed within the program.
Serves as the staff liaison and manager for the Leadership Accelerator program, including oversight of the application process, orientation, content development, logistics for in-person meetings, managing relationships with external facilitators, and working with ACC staff to determine opportunities for program expansion.
Supports participants of the Leadership Forum and Leadership Accelerator by responding promptly and professionally to email, phone, and mail inquiries on a wide variety of topics, and attending programming sessions (both in-person and virtual) as required.
Works with appropriate ACC staff to identify and pursue opportunities for revenue generation from program content and expansion.
Develops and maintains a network of alumni from both the Leadership Forum and Leadership Accelerator programs, including participants, mentors, and other relevant stakeholders, creating and executing programming to keep alumni engaged and providing opportunities for networking and collaboration.
In collaboration with the DVP, Membership and Team Leader, Member Strategy, identifies opportunities for new leadership programs for ACC members, assessing their potential for revenue generation and overall contribution to ACC’s mission.
Maintains and updates the Leadership Forum directory and listservs.
Supports the Member Leadership team in executing programming for the Sandra J. Lewis Mid-Career Women’s Leadership Institute, as needed.
Continually evaluates department processes for opportunities to streamline, optimize, and upgrade in accordance with bylaws and established College practices.
Responsible for monitoring and maintaining budget accountability and deliverables for assigned projects, ensuring fiscal responsibility and alignment with departmental objectives.
Other duties as assigned to support member initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required.
5+ years of experience in program or project management within an association, nonprofit, or related environment, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and technical skill.
Proven track record of managing programs from initiation to execution, including planning, implementation, and post-program evaluation.
Demonstrated ability to work independently under limited supervision, making decisions and managing priorities for projects, programs, and processes within a complex and dynamic environment.
Experience making improvements to processes, systems, or program offerings to optimize performance and support departmental or organizational objectives.
Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience working with internal teams and external stakeholders (such as volunteers, vendors, or facilitators) to deliver results.
