We have around 10,000 sales people across the world, within market roles and ranging in areas like Field Sales, Key Accounts, Trade Marketing and Category Development.About the role
As a Customer Development Manager Kroger, you will assist in developing and executing category strategy within the Grocery Channel. You will have a seat at the table by providing insights to drive superior category results, owning the development and implementation for Plan-o-grams across category captain departments.
You will support mutual growth and deliver excellent business results. You will also be responsible for converting in-depth shopping and omni retail environment data into insights and category, retail and customer strategies and recommendations.
Your responsibilities
You will succeed because you will:
• Build lasting business relationships based on trust and confidence.
• Create recurring business reviews and customer facing category presentations by providing analysis on drivers incorporating multiple data sources including custom research, market and industry trends, competitive review, with actionable recommendations.
• Work closely with internal team to create category landscapes and narratives to support innovation and company strategies.
• Provide strategic guidance by identifying and evaluating attractive product, customer and market segments, and developing actionable recommendations.
• Cultivate internal and external relationships across the retailer and within Reckitt.
• Supports the execution of product and placement strategic direction based on category strategy, best practices, and quantitative feedback from Marketplace Intelligence.
• Deliver on Customer Strategy including sales, margin, and market share targets while ensuring best in class customer relationship scores (i.e. Advantage, Kanter, Customer Specific).
• Develops and delivers succinct, concise, and compelling presentations that clearly communicates insights to actions across the 4Ps and connecting with category growth platforms.
• Leverage Reckitt’s global and local market strategy, trends, insights, and market drivers to bring innovative solutions and growth opportunities to Kroger.
• Employ critical thinking and problem-solving skills to recognize and anticipate issues and opportunities by elevating analyses beyond reporting and translate insight into retail action through concise, compelling story telling.
• Solid understanding of which data source to leverage to answer the question (POS, Syndicated, Panel, Industry Insights, survey/primary research, etc.)
The experience we're looking for
• Bachelor's Degree required
• 7+ years related work experience in consumer goods, retail, or syndicated data with a focus on category management, sales, business analytics and/or shopper insights
• Preferred experience with Kroger and 84.51 (Stratum and Market6)
• Category management success within an Omni channel environment desirable
• Experience auditing and enhancing digital content, web enrichment, physical shelf management, and modular relay expertise.
• Advanced Skills in Microsoft Excel, Power BI and PowerPoint. Database management understanding a plus (SQL)
• Advanced proficiency in Space Planning software (Blue Yonder/JDA) to include automation (Python, CKB, etc.).
• Extensive knowledge and advanced skills with business driving technology solutions (i.e. Numerator, Nielsen, Spectra, Shopper sights, Domo, VIQ, Shopper intelligence, Nailbiter) and internal/external industry insights and trends
• Understanding of the Commercial Action Plans and Category Roadmaps/Category Growth Solutions
• Ability to create a narrative using quantitative and qualitative data driving face to face dialogue and acceptance of initiatives with the retailer buying team
• 20% travel required
