Job Description

Turner & Townsend Heery are seeking an experienced Construction Manager for onsite management of our clients large scale healthcare program.  The Construction Manager will be responsible for the supervision of all construction activities, monitoring submittals, logs, and payment requests.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, have excellent communication skills, be able to take the initiative and drive activities with limited supervision.

Construction Phase:

• Coordinate General Contractor.
• Monitor Construction Progress.
• Evaluate Payment Applications.
• Obtain Construction schedule.
• Periodic job site reviews.
• Direct/oversee A/E Inspections.
• Assist A/E in review of RFI’s.
• Coordinate IT Installation.
• Prepare Punchlist with A/E.
• Review A/E & GC Close-out.

Post-Construction:

• Deliver Documents to Client.
• Coordinate Training.
• Review O&M Information.

Qualifications

• Possess thorough knowledge of design and construction management practices.
• Ability to effectively communicate (in oral and written form) and to use a computer for email, correspondence, reports, spreadsheets, and automated project management systems.
• Ability to create management reports.
• Ability to review construction drawings and specifications for constructability.

Education /Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 6+ years’ experience.
