$34.21 - $51.31

A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education.

HSHS/Prevea is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our outpatient neuro rehabilitation team. Ideal candidates will possess experience in neurological rehabilitation and demonstrate the ability to provide care across a broad spectrum of clinical areas, including but not limited to: stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, sensory processing disorders, and other neurological conditions. The role requires clinical proficiency and adaptability in treating adult patients with a wide range of diagnoses, functional limitations, sensory integration challenges, and levels of independence.

The Occupational Therapist will evaluate and treat impairments impacting activities of daily living, instrumental activities of daily living, upper extremity function, cognition, vision, perception, coordination, sensory processing and integration, emotional regulation, and community reintegration. The OT will be expected to assess and treat adult patients with neurologic and sensory processing disorders using evidence-based interventions to improve functional participation and quality of life.

• Schedule: Par time, 30 hrs/wk, clinic hours 7am-5:30pm (8 or 10 hour shifts available) no weekends or on call

Education Qualifications

  • Graduate (e.g., bachelors, master, or doctorate) from an accredited program which meets the licensure requirements in the state of practice is required.

Experience Qualifications

  • Preferred experience in the evaluation and treatment of adult patients with neurologic conditions and sensory processing disorders.
  • OR candidates without direct experience who demonstrate a strong interest in these specialty areas and a willingness to participate in mentorship and advanced training are encouraged to apply.

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations

  • IL: State Licensure as an Occupational Therapist is required OR has been authorized to practice by the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation (IDFPR) and must obtain licensure within 6 months.
  • WI: State Licensure as an Occupational Therapist is required OR has been issued a temporary licensure to practice and must obtain licensure within 6 months.
  • Certified Basic Life Support (BLS) or completion in the first 90 days of employment is required.
