SENIOR LIGHTING DESIGNER // EAGLE BROOK CHURCH

JOB OBJECTIVES

• Leads the creative design and execution of lighting for weekend services, special events and Student Ministries at scheduled campuses
• Leads and develops a team of lighting designer
• Supports the Technology team in maintenance on all lighting systems at scheduled campuses
• Assists in the development and training of lighting volunteers
• Direct and manage the time and work of at least two others, with responsibility for personnel decisions, including hiring, firing, promotions, etc. (although approval by next level management may be required)
• Reports to the Lead Lighting Designer

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 

• Programs and designs lighting for all weekend services, special events and Student Ministries
• Supervises, leads and develops the Lighting Designers
• Participates as a member of the Lighting Designer team and as a part of the Stage Design team 
• Supports the implementation of stage design elements
• Manages lighting repairs and technical support at assigned locations
• Responsible for the technical development of lighting volunteers
• Responsible for lighting console programming, operation and execution
• Directly supervises two Lighting Designers
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications 

• Follower of Jesus and aligns with Eagle Brook Church’s 9 core beliefs
• 4 years of experience working in a music, live production, creative or church environment
• Live lighting console expertise, including GrandMA 2 and 3 console and software
• Proficient skills in rigging experience, including chain motors and Kinesys Automation
• Proficient skills in lighting plot and diagram design and creation in CAD software for stage design including Vectorworks
• Proficient skills in lighting previsualization programming software including Capture, MA3D and Depence
• Proficient skills in live visual content playback, including Green Hippo Media Server and ProPresenter

Preferred Qualifications 

• 2+ years of supervision experience
• Electrical or engineering background
• Visual design/motion graphics experience
• Ministry background
