Job Description

AECOM has a position available for a Senior BIM Manager to join our Buildings + Places (B+P) team in Orlando, FL. In this role the selected person will provide overall direction of BIM activities in assigned areas including BIM implementation, integration, development, maintenance, potential liabilities, and/or concerns.


The responsibilities of this role include, but may not be limited to, the following:

  • Ensure compliance with BIM standards and contractual obligations, supporting delivery teams.
  • Support team development and raise the BIM profile across the organization.
  • Evaluate, utilize, and roll out to staff software plugins and apps to increase efficiencies and automation of software tasks. 
  • Manage onboarding, training, and digital solution mobilization, ensuring efficient information delivery.
  • Oversee task teams, monitor progress, and address any delays promptly.
  • Compile lessons learned and identify training needs for information management.
  • Act as an intermediary between stakeholders for efficient project execution.
  • Drive Information Execution Plans and conduct supply chain assessments.
  • Provide strategic IM direction, produce reports, and lead digital implementation.
  • Understand and implement local and international BIM standards and regulations.
  • Maintain quality assurance processes for BIM deliverables.
  • Commit to continuous improvement and stay updated with the latest digital technologies and practices.
  • Engage in R&D to enhance BIM processes and tools.
  • Experience in using PowerBI would be beneficial to allow the utilization of dashboards (PowerBI) to convey key project information to stakeholder.
  • Knowledge of managing BIM throughout the entire project lifecycle, from design to construction and handover.
  • Create and manage standard operating procedures and processes.
  • Authorize access to appropriate data and coordinates efforts with personnel in other departments, project managers, outside design firms, and client representatives.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS + 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of recent, relevant leadership experience
  • Software experience must include the following: AutoDesk Revit, AutoDesk Construction Cloud, Navisworks, Bluebeam, LiDAR and Point Clouds
  • Previous experience managing BIM throughout an entire project lifecycle, from design to construction and handover.

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience using PowerBI to allow the utilization of dashboards (PowerBI) to convey key project information to stakeholder.
  • Software experience that would be helpful includes the following: Revizto, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Lumion, Dynamo, Grasshopper, and/or Rhino
  • COBie Standards experience is helpful
