Job Description

As our Senior/Lead Software Engineer, you will join our Select & Success Expert Delivery team where we strongly believe that working hard and having fun are two compatible elements.

Select & Success Expert Delivery is a new organization at IFS that is responsible for creating and executing new ways of support and services for IFS customers. The IFS Select and IFS Success Menu Card Services help our customers and partners to design, implement, adopt, run and extend IFS centric solution landscapes successfully and allow our customers to achieve their anticipated value from IFS software usage. The Select & Success Expert Delivery team will consist of experts, who have specialized skills to guide and advise our customers and partners. Today these services are delivered by the IFS Consulting Organization. To further increase focus, grow expertise, and gain efficiency in the Select & Success Expert Delivery, IFS has now established an organization focused on Select & Success Expert Delivery.

The senior Software Engineer’s role is to analyze, develop, implement, and quality assure customized software included in IFS Product Family, services, and/or other solutions. Primary expectation of the job role would be to be a part of a global team providing services to IFS's premium engagement offerings. The senior Software Engineer will take an active part in various phases of IFS Projects globally in order to meet the Customer’s Service needs. In addition, the senior/lead Software Engineer at IFS continuously expands their functional and technical domain knowledge and shares this knowledge to guide others.

This role has some specific regular tasks but also has many ad hoc tasks.

Tasks include but are not limited to:

• Be an integral part of a Global team providing services to our premium engagement offerings
• Develop fit for purpose software, based on functional and technical requirements
• Consult IFS Customers as a Technical Expert through direct Customer engagement
• Guide the customer with technical configuration, and security setup in the IFS product being implemented.
• Work as part of an expert team, good communication and engagement with requirement owners and other stakeholders.
• Deliver consistent quality on assignments, ensuring usability, maintainability, security and performance while ensuring customer satisfaction and solution fit
• Make every effort possible to execute and complete assigned tasks within the constraints of time, scope and budget
• Provide direction by mentoring and coaching others. Actively help peers to complete their tasks on time, advise on design and coding practices.
• Provide technical trainings and workshops to peers and customers
• Ability to work with distributed global teams
• Delivery of Menu Card services for IFS Select & Success as well as Partner Success at the most complex customers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience with a proven track record in working with Enterprise Grade Software.
• An academic background with a Bachelor or Masters’ degree in Engineering or Computer Science
• Proficiency in C# .Net, SQL programming language skills
• Strong analytical skills and a technical mindset
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed
• Fluent in English and local language.
