Typical Security Officer Objectives:

• Maintain a safe environment by patrolling, monitoring, and controlling access 
• Investigate suspicious behavior, security breaches, and incidents 
• Patrol site premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure overall site security
• Provide high level customer service to our clients & their guests
• Ensure Safety through monitoring computer systems and CCTV
• Conduct security screenings in a professional manner, ensuring the safety of the site and preventing contraband or weapons from entering site
• Work flexible shifts and days off, including overtime when required (12-hour shifts possible)

Position Requirements: 

• 18 years of age or older  
• High School Diploma or GED Required  
• Standard computer / technology skills needed 
• Professional verbal / written communication skills 
• Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills a plus 
• Customer service background preferred  
• Must be able to conduct patrols throughout shift 
• Must be comfortable conducting access control duties
• Some experience with access control systems (X-ray, metal detectors) preferred
• Ability to obtain a SIDA badge (requires original birth certificate, social security card, or valid passport; valid state ID required for property access)
• Reliable transportation strongly preferred (Not CTA accessible)
• Able to work any shift/Open Availability

All candidates must be able to pass a drug test and background check
