Corporate Account Associate
Alarm.comAbout the role
Corporate Account Associate
Washington, D.C. Metro Area
A rapidly expanding, entrepreneurial technology company, Alarm.com, is seeking ambitious, self-directed individuals to join our Corporate Account team in the Washington D.C. metro area. The Corporate Account Associate is a sales and account management role that combines full ownership of an assigned set of accounts with a supporting role on Alarm.com's largest multi-territory, multi-branch corporate accounts. In this hybrid capacity, the Associate will independently manage and grow their own book of business while also partnering with Corporate Account Managers on strategic accounts — joining meetings, driving follow-up, and keeping key initiatives moving across departments. This is a strong opportunity for someone early in their career to gain direct exposure to enterprise-level account strategy as a platform for growth within the organization. This position requires at least 30-50% travel across a national account base.
If you love sales & account management and you're looking to make a professional move to join one of the fastest growing technology companies in the U.S., we are looking for you.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Owned Account Management
- Independently manage and grow an assigned book of corporate accounts, with full ownership of relationship, account plan, and revenue outcomes.
- Develop relationships with key individuals inside the account base, investigating and resolving obstacles to dealer/partner success.
- Respond to inbound phone and email inquiries from assigned accounts.
Corporate Account Support & Development
- Partner with Corporate Account Managers on Alarm.com's largest multi-territory, multi-branch accounts — joining strategic meetings, contributing to account planning, and owning follow-up execution from customer meetings and business reviews.
- Serve as the internal point of contact keeping account initiatives moving between meetings — coordinating with sales operations, product, and engineering contacts when the Account Manager is traveling or doesn't have the same internal relationships.
- Act as liaison between the corporate account team and account executives to support territory growth opportunities across corporate account branches.
- Use this exposure to build fluency in enterprise-level account strategy and business models as a platform for growth into a full Corporate Account Manager role.
Branch-Level Outreach & Sales Execution
- Design and execute targeted outreach campaigns to individual branches within corporate accounts to drive adoption and sales of specific Alarm.com products and services.
- Execute individual sales campaigns and deliver webinar/on-site product trainings to branch-level contacts.
Cross-Functional & Ongoing Responsibilities
- Interface with departments across the organization — Dealer Operations & Support, Sales Support & Training, Product Management, Technical Account Management, and Marketing — to support account and initiative needs.
- Foster positive, productive relationships with Alarm.com's dealers and communicate information vital to account success back to management.
- Attend industry association meetings and trade shows as necessary.
- Stay current on new Alarm.com product releases to respond knowledgeably to partner inquiries.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree is required to be considered for this position.
- 2+ years of experience in a sales role is preferred.
- Highly motivated, resourceful, self-starter with ability to deliver results.
- Successful history of account management, business development, and/or client training.
- Ability to communicate and present well to customers, vendors, and executives both written and verbal, in a clear, professional manner.
- Passion for consumer technology and interest in developing a deep technical understanding of Alarm.com and partner products.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a small, fast-paced environment.
- Strong people skills; natural customer service orientation and disposition — candidate must enjoy working with clients and supporting internal customers in the organization.
- The ability and commitment to meet deadlines, even during high volume periods.
- Flexible and positive attitude that fosters team spirit.
- Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Salesforce, WebExec, and PowerPoint.
- Must be willing to travel up to 30-50% of the time.
