Our Adult Academic Health Center is seeking an experienced and dynamic Pharmacist to serve as the leader for two inpatient pharmacies and two satellite pharmacies within the Operating Rooms (ORs) at both Methodist and University Hospital. This leadership role is pivotal in managing a comprehensive pharmacy operation and ensuring optimal medication management for patient care. The manager will lead a team of approximately 40 pharmacists and be responsible for day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, project management, regulatory/compliance, recruiting and hiring. The ideal candidate will have project management and prior leadership experience.

The Pharmacy Manager oversees and coordinates the daily operations of the hospital pharmacy and its staff. Provides comprehensive medication-related care for the purpose of achieving definite outcomes that improve a patient's quality of life. Acts in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals in the responsibility for patient drug therapy outcomes. Is responsible for assisting the pharmacy director with preparing and performing all activities involving the pharmacy and therapeutics committee. Assists the Director in complying with all applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations. Will assists in new process implementation and quality improvement initiatives. Responsible for inventory management and the ongoing financial performance of the pharmacy.

• Requires current Indiana license or eligibility for Indiana licensure as a Pharmacist
• Requires PharmD or BS degree in Pharmacy.
• 5 - 7 years pharmacist experience is required
• Requires knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to dispensing of drugs and narcotics
• Management experience is preferred

Healthcare pharmacy experience strongly preferred
Project management experience strongly preferred
