The Technical Director is a senior member of our Cyber Technology team. Darktrace is currently expanding its technical team to accommodate a rapidly growing customer base and accelerating revenue. This role is a dynamic and varied customer focused technical position. This person will provide leadership to the technical go to market team in pre-sale and post-sales accounts, working together with our Sales leadership to ensure customer needs are met.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead our existing Technical Pre-Sales team in the US, Canada, and LATAM supporting our mid-tier customers
- Partner with our sales and customer success leadership throughout the sales and renewal processes providing technical assistance and expertise to drive revenue and retention
- Grow and mentor the Americas Technical Pre-Sales team, providing leadership to managers and team leads
- Evaluate and propose improvements to the technical sales process
- Manage performance and key talent closely, ensuring that we are taking the necessary actions to retain top talent and manage performance at all levels
Qualifications & Experience
- 3+ years of experience managing a regional pre-sales sales engineering team for a software organization
- 5+ years of experience in a sales engineer or technical account manager role
- Strong knowledge in both on-premise and cloud networking
- Experience within the cyber security industry preferred
- Confident, polished communicator with a proven ability to build lasting, critical business relationships
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a STEM discipline with a GPA of 3.5 or higher preferred
