On-Call Student Success Coach Jones Academy - Harshorne, OK

$15 Hourly with no Bachelor's Degree, $25.00 Hourly with Bachelor's Degree

On-Call, per required need. 5:30pm - 8:30pm Monday - Thursday. Schedule will vary. 

Weekly Wage Access is an option for this position. 

Job Purpose or Objective(s): Assist students in gaining and understanding of their academic coursework through individual and group instruction to ensure they are reaching their full academic potential.

1. Meets regularly with students requiring academic improvement, organization techniques, providing assistance in a better understanding of a specific subject, developing basic skills and study skills, with or without computer-aided instruction.
2. Provide guidance to students in developing positive attitudes, self-confidence, and high level of motivation.
3. Assist students with college and financial aid applications by providing clarifications and explanations for questions, gathering required documents, and step-by-step instructional help.
4. Assist students with ACT prep in all areas of test and providing assistance in a better understanding is what is expected on the test.
5. Assist students and Jones Academy College/Career Counselor with FASFA and Oklahoma Promise Applications by collecting needed documentation, step-by-step guidance, and application review.
6. Verify and track attendance by making sure students sign-in and out on the sheets provided.
7. Observe student understanding of the subject matter and provide assistance.
8. Contribute to the planning and implementation of periodic college/career nights.
9. Perform other duties as may be assigned

Required Education, Skills and Experience: 

MINIMUM

• High school diploma or college student
• Communication skills
• Time management skills
• Basic computer skills
• Valid driver’s license

TARGET

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher
• Former school teacher
• Ability to communicate (orally/writing) effectively which includes listening
• Ability to multitask within time constraints and set high expectations on self
• Prior experience with computer applications
• 1 year prior experience
