Senior Accountant, Revenue (Remote)

CFA Institute is seeking a Senior Accountant, Revenue to join our dynamic Finance team. This role is instrumental in ensuring accurate and compliant revenue reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP and plays a critical part in maintaining the financial integrity of our organization. What You’ll Do:

• Own the accounting aspects of CFA Institute’s revenue streams, preparing and recording complex journal entries and reconciliations.

• Conduct technical accounting research and provide solutions to revenue-related accounting questions.

• Drive process improvements and optimize revenue operation activities.

• Ensure compliance with internal controls related to revenue recognition, maintaining effective documentation.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, IT, and other departments to ensure the successful application of ASC 606.

• Support monthly and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

• Assist with the implementation, design, testing, and troubleshooting of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, including NetSuite.

• Maintain detailed internal control narratives and desktop procedures for all revenue-related processes.

• Provide support for internal and external audits, serving as a key contact for revenue-related inquiries.

• Assist with ad hoc analyses, projects, and special tasks as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent education and experience.

• Minimum 4 years of general accounting experience, with exposure to revenue accounting and ASC 606.

• CPA or equivalent designation strongly preferred.

• Strong research and documentation skills related to U.S. GAAP and/or IFRS.

• Advanced Excel skills.

• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

• High level of attention to detail and time management skills..

• Experience with NetSuite is a plus.

• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.

Expected salary Range: $85,000 - $95,000 per year

Other benefits include eligibility for annual incentives, 12% employer contribution to 401K, and competitive medical benefits.
