What will you be doing at DeepL?
Provide strong leadership, vision and direction for your team (~8 AEs)
Hire, onboard, coach, and grow top talent
Build and run an operational cadence consisting of 1:1s, forecast calls, pipeline generation sessions, team meetings, QBRs, deal and account reviews, and career conversations
Be accountable for the attainment of your and your team’s performance targets
Participate in C-level customer and prospect meetings alongside your reps
Partner with cross-functional teams (SE, SDR, CSM, Marketing, etc.) to drive success and prioritize where DeepL invests its resources
Roll up your sleeves and do what is necessary for your team and your customers
Maintain a high level knowledge of DeepL product and solutions, while staying current in understanding the competitive landscape and industry trends
Help us build our US sales playbooks
Requirements
Your responsibilities
Significant experience in (and currently managing) Mid-Market and SMB software sales teams, with a span of control of 8+ people
Strong SaaS sales background, preferably within an Enterprise or Mid-Market company, with a track record of consistently overachieving quota.
Have sold emerging technologies, won new logos, and expanded within existing accounts
Understand what it takes to build a strong team culture consisting of competitive collaboration
Ability to recruit, enable, coach/mentor, and grow top talent
Experience with running an operational cadence consisting of 1:1s, forecast calls, pipeline generation, team meetings, QBRs, deal and account reviews, and career conversations
Self-starter, relentlessly resourceful, and have a “roll-up my sleeves and figure it out” attitude
Comfortable with joining customer calls alongside AEs, bringing an executive presence
Data-oriented and results-driven
Treat others with respect and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Well organized and don’t drop the ball on things that need to get done
Humble, driven, and naturally curious
Excited about joining a scale-up where not everything is figured out, we move fast and are actively building the playbook, and we must shift priorities and adapt to dynamic situations
Are comfortable with a hybrid working model and able to come into our Austin office regularly. This is important to us in order to build a strong culture within our first US hub.
Fluency in Spanish and/or French (both reading and writing) is a plus, but not required
