About the role:
We are seeking an exceptional Security Analyst to join our Security team. This role is critical to maintaining the integrity of our data-driven platform as we enter our next phase of scale. You will be responsible for identifying and mitigating risks across our environment, ensuring that Garner’s security posture remains robust and that our commitment to protecting member data is never compromised.
Where you will work:
Garner is headquartered in NYC, but this position is available for individuals who are comfortable with remote work and occasional travel to HQ.
What you will do:
- Executes security monitoring: Independently manages day-to-day security operations, including threat monitoring and incident triage, ensuring all potential risks are identified and addressed with urgency
- Performs disciplined risk analysis: Conducts systematic reviews of system logs and security alerts to uncover root causes, ensuring we solve for underlying vulnerabilities rather than just symptoms
- Maintains security compliance: Owns the execution of recurring compliance tasks and audits, ensuring all workflows meet Garner’s high standards for data protection and regulatory requirements
- Implements creative solutions: Identifies opportunities to automate manual security checks and improve the efficacy of our security tools to increase the overall ROI of the function
- Communicates risk effectively: Conveys technical security findings concisely to relevant stakeholders, providing clear and actionable recommendations for remediation
- Drives technical rigor: Maintains meticulously accurate security documentation and ensures all security-related deliverables are error-free and completed on time

- Impact-First Problem Solving: Recognizes security gaps and thinks through potential causes, often proposing and implementing the "quick fix" while raising larger ideas to the team
- Reliable Ownership: Consistently meets quality and timeliness metrics for security tasks, handling routine issues independently and escalating promptly when strategic help is needed
- Stakeholder Relations: Engages professionally and respectfully with engineering and product teams, keeping stakeholders informed of progress and sharing research before seeking input
- Subject Matter Expertise: Demonstrates the technical understanding required to execute security responsibilities independently and stays up-to-date with the evolving threat landscape

Compensation Transparency:
The target salary range for this position is $117,000 - $130,000. Individual compensation for this role will depend on various factors, including qualifications, skills, and applicable laws. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible to participate in our equity incentive and competitive benefits plans, including but not limited to: flexible PTO, Medical/Dental/Vision plan options, 401(k), Teladoc Health and more.
