2nd Shift Block Saw Operator

Position Purpose: 

Accurately cuts polyurethane foam materials as required 

 

Essential Duties: 

• Operates saw machines 

• Verifies material width for accuracy before cutting 

• Marks material with size, date and run number 

• Visually inspects material for quality 

• Computes the number of pieces per length correctly 

• Cuts material according to spec 

• Keeps accurate daily records of cut materials 

• Records and reports quality issues 

• Cleans and changes blades 

• Reports machine problems to the Supervisor 

 

• Other duties, as required 

 

Knowledge, Skills , Experience: 

• Able to read, write and speak English 

• Able to stand and walk for 8 hours 

• Strong math ability including addition and subtraction of fractions 

• Able to read measuring devices 

• Must be mechanically inclined 

• CNC experience is a plus 

Education / Certifications: 

• High school diploma or equivalent
