Job Title: Business Development Associate (Digital Inkjet)
Work Location: Mid-West and So. Central US Region
Travel Requirement: 65%
Pay Range: $80,000 – $90,000
As a key member of the Advanced Materials commercial team, the Business Development Associate for Digital Inkjet is responsible for identifying the business needs of the assigned customer base and delivering a solution to the customers that creates value for both Sun Chemical and the customer.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION:
- Define the scope of opportunities, competitive landscape, key targets, and growth segments. Maintain sales pipeline using CRM, meet and exceed monthly and annual sales targets
- Price and margin management for assigned territory; consistently review and manage through a team-based approach assuring pricing and terms are being met following the product strategy.
- Advocate for the customers in all technical and commercial matters. Coordinate across teams from R&D, supply chain, and customer service.
- Collaborate with marketing to assist with product literature and promotional activities.
- Act as Product Manager for the territory to support the team in building a robust logistics front office and supply chain to ensure a silent, efficient service experience for Advanced Material customers in the territory.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- A Technical Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience is required.
- 3-5 years of field sales experience in Digital Inkjet product lines preferred.
- Proven ability to collaborate, problem-solve, and influence is essential.
