About the role

The Sr Growth Planning Manager is a critical leader in the effective and timely development of market-level plans to advance the strategic growth initiatives in Aledade’s current and planned geographies.  This role serves as a key resource and reliable thought partner in the planning process and is responsible for managing and leading multiple department activities that drive the development, enhancement, execution, monitoring, and assessment of viable, comprehensive growth plans for assigned geographies and in accordance with required timelines.  
We are flexible with respect to geographic location, and the ideal candidate will be comfortable working remotely/work from home within the U.S. or from our office in Bethesda, MD, Durham, NC or Austin, TX.

Primary Duties:

  • Seeks, reviews, and applies all available and relevant market intelligence (e.g., industry trends, competitive landscape, payer information, current and healthcare and value-based care policy, organizational performance, etc.), drawing insightful, data-driven conclusions and making actionable suggestions to advise stakeholders in decision-making on growth initiatives 
  • Leads planning work sessions attended by leaders from across the organization (virtual and in person), ensuring interdepartmental collaboration from the appropriate panel of stakeholders; owns (or assigns) post-session follow-up activities and documentation as assigned
  • Leads plan management meetings to monitor and assess plan execution in relation to set targets, progress of and/or updates to the expected tactical activities, and overall plan performance on an ongoing basis, resolving and/or escalating issues as needed; completes or assigns the required documentation; establishes feedback loops and ensures they are operating effectively
  • Identifies, defines, interprets, and presents key findings (e.g., trends, gaps in process) via  written briefings and slide decks and presents to department colleagues and leadership as needed to impact decision-making and resulting activities as assigned
  • Continuously monitors and evaluates departmental process implementation and key performance metrics, identifying areas of opportunity to increase efficiency and effectiveness that enhance growth outcomes 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, health care administration, strategy, or another related field; advanced degree preferred 
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in healthcare setting
  • 5+ years of experience in dedicated healthcare strategic or business planning role 

Preferred KSA's:

  • Previous experience in a healthcare sales function, particularly in the value-based care space; 5+ years of value-based care/ACO experience strongly preferred 
  • Superior analytical and critical thinking skills and problem-solving mindset; keen attention to detail and ability to synthesize information from multiple sources and derive supported conclusions; solid to advanced proficiency in Google Suite of products, Excel, Tableau, and CRM reporting functions (Salesforce highly preferred)
  • Demonstrated  project management competency; ability to plan and execute on multiple initiatives simultaneously and manage competing priorities and tight deadlines; proven history of successful interdepartmental/multi-stakeholder process creation 
  • Superior verbal and written communication and collaboration skills; ability to comfortably participate in and confidently lead and facilitate group discussions (virtually and in-person), and guide/influence a group to general consensus/decision/resolution with stakeholders of all levels
  • Consulting firm experience or experience preparing and presenting information to stakeholders at all levels in an advisory and consultative function
  • Experience working directly with multi-payer value-based care programs and risk arrangements; knowledgeable in physician practice and/or community health center settings

Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting for prolonged periods of time.  Extensive use of computers and keyboard
  • Some travel may be required (<25% of the time)
