Grainger Management LLC is seeking a Senior Data Scientist in Lake Forest, IL with the following requirements: Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or a related field plus 3 years related experience. Prior experience must include: Formulate mathematical or simulation models of problems, relating constants and variables, restrictions, alternatives, conflicting objectives, and their numerical parameters, define data requirements and gather and validate information, applying judgment and statistical tests; Perform validation and testing of models to ensure adequacy and reformulate models as necessary; Analyze profitability of business investments by developing explanatory, predictive, and prescriptive machine learning models and statistical techniques; Analyze customer marketing performance across customer segments, channels, and programs/campaigns; Proactively identify needs of the business and provide novel analytical solutions and ensure successful adoption and implementation of analytical solutions; Define scope, recommend approach and project manage execution of analysis projects; Report results of statistical analyses, including information in the form of graphs, charts, and tables and analyze and interpret statistical data to identify significant differences in relationships among sources of information; Formulate and apply statistical modeling and optimizing methods to interpret information for management regarding time, cost, and logistics networks; Work with R, Python, IBM SPSS Statistics, SQL, SA, MS Office, SAP Business Objects, Supervised and Unsupervised Machine Learning algorithms like Regression, Decision Tress, Clustering and Time Series Modeling for prediction, forecasting, and classification; Work collaboratively across departments including Analytics, IT, Marketing, and many others.
