Job Description

Position: Sr Eng II - Architect(Revit,Construction,Autocad,Buildings,Design)

Location: Ogden, UT (Day 1 Onsite)

Duration Long Term Contract

 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • The successful candidate must have strong organizational and teamwork skills, proven problem-solving abilities, a can-do attitude, and the desire to innovate designs
  • Preparation of original architectural designs layouts, details, drawings and specifications for buildings; including but not limited to: plans, schedules, elevations, sections, details, etc.
  • Conducts or coordinates detailed phases of the architectural work
  • Understand and perform the standard architectural work planning, scheduling, and job hour estimating process
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with quality requirements
  • Review and check the work of other architects as assigned
  • As directed, supervise, coordinate, provide technical direction and assign work to subordinate architects and designers
  • Coordinate and integrate design work between the architectural discipline and other engineering disciplines
  • Review and approve key design documents, supplier drawings and data, material specifications, drawings, and change orders
  • Prepare procurement and subcontract requisition documents and perform associated technical bid evaluations with award recommendations
  • Prepares or assists in the preparation of cost estimates and quantity take-offs for architectural elements
  • Resolve technical issues with customers and construction
  • Participates in and fosters a work environment that is based upon openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and job satisfaction

Qualifications and Skills

Basic Qualifications

 

  • BA or BS degree in Architecture, from an accredited university, with at least 9 years of relevant experience or in lieu of a degree 15 years of relevant professional experience
  • Registered Architect in the United States or ability to attain withing 12 months

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • Experienced with architectural design, production techniques, building materials, and construction methods or development of project deliverables
  • Understands technical issues and costs related to the selection of design features and unique architectural requirements
  • Proficient with the practices and procedures of NFPA, IBC, and UFCs Perform code reviews and generate code compliance reports/ drawings
  • Skilled in oral and written communication
  • Communicates complex technical issues and recommends solutions
  • Demonstrated graphic presentation skills. Understanding of engineering planning and control methods
  • Experienced with producing a full, well-coordinated, detailed set of architectural construction documents
  • Experienced in coordinating a multi-discipline design team
  • Proficient with Autodesk design suite (e.g. Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD) to originate 3D model content and produce design deliverables in a multidisciplinary model environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and Sketchup
  • Experience with developing CSI MasterFormat specifications or SpecsIntact preferred

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Knowledgeable in the principles of Systems Engineering
  • Necessary skills to present technical subjects with competence and confidence
  • Experience in the design of Federal projects
  • Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited university
