About the Role
We're seeking a skilled Certified Medical Assistant to provide exceptional clinical support to our physicians and deliver outstanding patient care. You'll be at the heart of our practice, ensuring smooth operations and positive patient experiences.
Requirements
What You'll Do
Patient Care Excellence
- Welcome patients, obtain vital signs, and gather medical histories
- Prepare examination rooms and assist physicians with procedures
- Perform phlebotomy, injections, and specialized procedures (epidurals, PRP injections)
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medical equipment
Clinical Operations
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and maintain accurate documentation
- Coordinate diagnostic tests and ensure results reach physicians promptly
- Handle prescription requests and pharmacy communications
- Maintain sterile techniques and comply with OSHA/HIPAA regulations
Administrative Support
- Screen calls and take clinical messages
- Manage exam room turnover and supply inventory
- Process insurance authorizations and patient information updates
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified Medical Assistant certification
- 2+ years of medical office experience
- Proficiency with medical practice management systems and EHRs
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA, and OSHA guidelines
Preferred Skills
- College or trade school education
- Bilingual (Spanish) capabilities
- Experience with specialized procedures (phlebotomy, injections, casting)

OrthoNJ, LLC is required by New Jersey law to include the salary range for this role. The hiring range for this role is $17 - $27.50 per hour. The range for this role is typically determined by several factors, including the geography in which the selected candidate will be working, and alignment with qualifications and experience. Certain roles may also be eligible for additional compensation (bonus, etc.) and/or benefits. In addition, full-time employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental, vison and retirement plan.
