The Department of The Central Business Office has an exciting opportunity for a full-time to work remotely. The individual in this position is responsible for monitoring quality indicators in order to identify trends and learning opportunities for the employees at the Central Business Office. This will include auditing a random selection of visits and validating the information entered by the staff. In addition, feedback, coaching and training will be provided by the individual in position to ensure adherence to appropriate workflows and processes. This position requires expert knowledge in the revenue cycle, system knowledge and ability to provide objective feedback and training according to the outcome of audits. This position supports the Medical school’s vision, mission, goals and objectives by providing patient-centric access to our world renowned medical care.

  • Supports Central Business Office leadership in identifying strengths and opportunities for employees providing objective feedback and recommendations in quality assurance documentation.

  • Works closely with the department’s leaders to develop and implement focus training for the Central Business Office.

  • Reviews quality indicators to monitor trends and determine where training deficiencies exist.

  • Support the analysis of quality audit findings to identify key issues, trends and potential root causes that point to improvement opportunities.

  • Assist in the development of custom training curriculum based on employees’ needs.

  • Monitors and assists in process and problem resolution, integrating efforts with training needs and quality monitoring.

  • Assists in training and coaching of new employees in requirements and skills specific to their roles.

  • Serves as subject matter expert during in-service sessions to keep the staff current on processes and guidelines.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge and experience in healthcare revenue cycle (billing, collections, insurance verification, etc.).

  • Knowledge and experience in analytics, problem solving and ability to recognize trends.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to communicate on both a technical and

  • interpersonal level.

  • Ability to work independently yet also depend upon others for instructions, guidance or direction as needed.

  • Ability to work in a team environment that requires quick turnaround and quality output.

  • Comfortable designing and delivering small and/or large group training.

  • Strong computer skills that include MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).

  • Knowledge of EPIC

  • Education Requirements (Essential Requirements): High school or equivalent; Three (3) years of experience in the healthcare field with strong revenue cycle experience.
