317 – Atlassian Data Center Administrator

As an Atlassian Data Center Administrator, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of our Atlassian Data Center products, including Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and other associated applications. You will play a key role in ensuring our Atlassian tools' reliability, performance, and scalability to support our organization's collaboration and productivity needs.

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and administer Atlassian Data Center products, including Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and other related applications.
• Perform upgrades, patches, and migrations of Atlassian Data Center instances, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to users.
• Monitor and maintain the health, performance, and availability of Atlassian Data Center applications, diagnosing and resolving issues as needed.
• Implement and enforce security best practices and policies for Atlassian Data Center environments, including user access control, data encryption, and vulnerability management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Atlassian Data Center applications with other systems, tools, and services to support business workflows and processes.
• Develop and maintain documentation, guidelines, and standard operating procedures for Atlassian Data Center administration and usage.
• Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and training to end-users and stakeholders on Atlassian Data Center products and features.
• Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and new features in Atlassian Data Center products, recommending and implementing improvements.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Proficiency in installing, configuring, and maintaining Atlassian Data Center instances in a high-availability, clustered environment.
• Strong knowledge of Atlassian Data Center architecture, configuration, and performance tuning techniques.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Groovy, Python) for automating administrative tasks and customization of Atlassian products.
• Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues in Atlassian Data Center environment

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• At least three (3) years of hands-on experience administering Atlassian Data Center products, including Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload based on the needs of the client
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and frequent changes in priorities
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Excellent technical writing skills and proven experience in systems with complex requirements
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills with the ability to team with others to meet project objectives
• Understanding of the system development lifecycle as implemented with Agile; SAFe knowledge a plus

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to navigate in an office setting unassisted
• Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds
• Strong speaking skills, including the ability to articulate thoughts in a clear manner and excellent word enunciation skills are required
