Job Description
The Director, Product Marketing is responsible for defining the marketing messaging, positioning and value proposition for Visa Acceptance Solutions fraud and risk management solutions portfolio. This individual will work closely with our global product management and sales counterparts to understand and externally communicate product capabilities and benefits for targeted markets through the creation of a variety of marketing assets and sales tools. They will need to maintain awareness of competitive products and positioning and maintain a pulse on emerging trends. The messaging they develop should focus on solving our clients’ problems in a genuine and engaging style.
A successful candidate for this role will need to be an industry and vertical solutions product evangelist and will play an integral role in organizing product launches. You will act as the subject matter expert (SME) for fraud and risk management messaging and market positioning with multiple cross-functional teams. This individual will also drive thought leadership for the use of machine learning and artificial intelligence related to fraud and risk management based on keen insight into buyers’ needs and industry landscape.
The Director, Product Marketing will play an integral role in organizing product launches. The role requires collaboration with the larger marketing team to develop compelling programs that standout in a competitive marketplace and help drive demand. This role reports to the Senior Director of Product Marketing for Visa Acceptance Solutions.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
Proven and experienced B2B Marketer, knowledge and understanding of eCommerce fraud and risk management, point of sale, card present solutions preferred, omnichannel payments experience would be a plus
Ability to operate in a hyper-growth environment
Agility to shift priorities and direction to align with rapidly changing market conditions
Self-starter and proactive attitude with a detail-oriented mind-set
Deeply customer centric and passionate about understanding the needs of our clients
Experienced in collaborating across functional areas
Highly skilled in metric-based decision making
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
