Job Description: As an Automation Engineer I, you will be responsible for developing and executing automated tests to ensure the quality of software products. You will work closely with development teams to understand the requirements and design test cases that effectively validate the functionality and performance of the software. You are expected to communicate in a professional and timely manner and to complete individual and team tasks/projects on time.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using modern testing frameworks and tools.
  • Execute automated tests and analyze results to identify defects and ensure software quality.
  • Collaborate with developers to understand software requirements and design test cases.
  • Report and track defects and work with the development team to resolve issues.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of test automation frameworks and tools.
  • Complete tasks on time and meet deadlines.
  • Communicate with the team in a professional and timely manner.
  • Operate in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Leverage AI/GenAI tools such as Microsoft Copilot for test automation tasks.
  • Be proactive in communication with the project team, ensuring alignment on deployment dates, automation test execution, and timely communication of test results.
  • Ensure automation tests are always maintained and ready for execution.

Required Qualifications:

  • Basic experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
  • Basic experience with databases and database query languages such as SQL.
  • Basic experience with API’s and how to interact with endpoints.
  • Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks like Selenium, NUnit, or TestNG.
  • Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
  • Previous work or internship experience with Boston Scientific
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization

  • Ability to complete tasks on time and meet deadlines.
  • Professional and respectful communication skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of AI/GenAI tools such as Microsoft Copilot.

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs.
