Role Description:

The Global Patient Voice center of excellence supports our Company mission, vision and values by partnering with patients to bring forward authentic stories and perspectives while engaging key audiences, to both inform and inspire, to directly impact the company’s culture and reputation.  Through inspiring and motivational patient-focused engagements and storytelling content highlighting our purpose-driven culture, our goals are to increase patient centricity across the organization, advance patient engagement, and provide positive patient experiences. 

This role is a key business partner and patient engagement subject matter expert (SME) for the specified areas in which they will support at the enterprise/corporate, worldwide and U.S. level. The role is also a key enabler to a greater embrace of “the voice of the patient” across the enterprise, within all business units and functions at BMS, and will work in close connection with those teams as relevant/when necessary.

As the Corporate programming lead, this role is responsible for strategically partnering with their key stakeholders to design, develop and deploy patient engagement and content strategies to support initiatives, programming and content development to ensure the voice of the patient is appropriately incorporated, for both internal activities and external consumption. These strategies will focus on our enterprise, culture and reputation initiatives to both drive employee engagement and positively impact our company reputation. This includes supporting both tactical planning and the execution of said programing when necessary.

Additionally, this role will also require knowledge at the worldwide level across all therapeutic areas, working with various business units and stakeholders.  It will require a strong connection and coordination, through the Patient Voice therapeutic area leads, to worldwide key stakeholders for ex-U.S. markets and in-market teams focused on patient engagement to further expand and drive the voice of the patient throughout our global organization.

This position is based in Lawrenceville, NJ., at the Princeton Pike office complex. Moderate travel required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Partnering: Build relationships and partner with key stakeholders/matrix partners aligned to patient-focused work; develop strong, supportive business connections and working relationships; understand business priorities related to our products, milestones, and pipeline to advance corporate patient engagement initiatives; work to develop a voice of the patient culture that embraces the need for the business to listen to the patient in order to be truly successful; align strategically with other departments that may also develop voice of the patient communications plans to ensure efficiencies, best practice sharing, and patient facing consistency.  Create a community of practice for WW patient connection.

  • Strategic Planning: Develop a strategy for patient-focused/generated content for enterprise use (i.e. culture, enterprise comms, channels, etc.).

  • Program Management: Help manage the patient program and brand, Who are you working for?, to drive brand consistency, program management and execution, and management of global patient assets/content. Oversees management of patient-related toolkits within the various platforms.

  • Content Development: Partner with key stakeholders globally to provide strategic advice and counsel on the best ways to incorporate the patient voice/stories globally; help drive the development of a cohesive and consistent strategy for content involving our patients; support and/or lead the development of patient-focused content for both internal and external consumption by creating and curating content to
