Join Clarkston Consulting as a Retail IT Project Manager to develop and deploy innovative business solutions across a variety of areas including Digital, Omnichannel / Enterprise Order Management Systems (OMS), Merchandise Planning & Allocation (MP&A), Point of Sale (POS), and Analytics.

What You’ll Do
Our retail project managers bring expertise in retail business processes and a variety of technology implementations, along with the ability to drive complex, cross-functional enterprise implementations, sometimes leading multiple projects within a specific program simultaneously.

As a Retail IT Project Manager you will:
- Bring expertise to review the client’s current business processes and enabling technology, oversee the implementation of the retail technology to enable and support new or improved business processes, and ensure successful and timely delivery of the project
- Drive program planning efforts and lead projects ranging from basic platform enhancements to complex enterprise implementations and upgrades
- Be responsible for cross-workstream status reporting, creating visibility and confidence in the project to executive stakeholders
- Focus on aligning business strategy with process and technology enablement
- Earn trusted client status and build relationships that extend beyond the project’s lifecycle
- Work with market leading technology platforms, including but not limited to ERP, Order Management Systems (OMS), Point of Sale (POS), Merchandise Planning & Allocation (MP&A), and Ecommerce Platforms (including Mobile)

Travel Requirement
Travel is an integral part of this role and is estimated to average 30-50%. This may vary based upon client and project needs. While travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19 restrictions, all non-essential travel has been limited and any on-site requests are subject to review. When not traveling, consultants work from their home office. Relocation is not required.

An ideal Retail IT Project Manager candidate would have the following qualifications and experience:
- Ability to manage complex consulting projects and deliver true value to our clients
- Understanding of retail industry trends, retail processes, and enabling technology
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to gain the confidence and respect of a variety of audiences, including senior executives.
- Strong analytical skills, organizational skills; Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong client services orientation and accustomed to taking an active role in executing engagements and project plans/tasks.
- Excellent team-building, mentoring, and leadership abilities.
- Experience in retail or consumer products industry is required.
- Experience using Agile methods is a plus
- Five plus (5+) years prior consulting or equivalent industry experience.
