Overview
We are a rapidly growing New York City–based solar installer known for delivering high-quality solar systems with a strong focus on customer experience and operational excellence. With in-house teams for sales, design, installation, and maintenance, we continue to expand across the NYC metro area.
The Quality Control Manager is responsible for reviewing site survey photos to determine the required electrical and roofing scope of work needed to bring each home into full compliance with NYC and NEC code standards. This role ensures accuracy in project scoping prior to installation and verifies that all completed work by electrical and installation teams meets code requirements, internal quality standards, and inspection readiness.
This is a strategic, operations-focused role requiring strong ownership, attention to detail, and the ability to continuously improve processes and execution.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Review site survey photos to identify electrical and roofing deficiencies and define the required scope of work for NEC and NYC DOB compliance.
- Evaluate panel configurations, grounding, bonding, service equipment, and roof conditions to ensure code-correct design and execution.
- Conduct post-installation quality reviews of electrical and roofing work completed by field teams.
- Confirm all work aligns with NEC, NYC amendments, utility requirements, and company quality standards.
- Flag deficiencies, document corrective actions, and coordinate rework when necessary.
- Ensure projects are inspection-ready and minimize failed inspections or revisits.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in residential solar, electrical work, inspections, or quality control (NYC experience strongly preferred).
- Strong working knowledge of NEC code and NYC electrical and roofing requirements.
- Proven ability to review site survey and install photos to determine accurate electrical and roofing scope of work.
- Experience performing post-install quality reviews to confirm code compliance and workmanship standards.
- High attention to detail with the ability to document deficiencies and clearly communicate corrective actions.
- Proficiency with CRM and project management tools (e.g., HubSpot, Slack) preferred
Compensation:
- $20 - $30 per hour
- Full time remote role
