We are currently seeking a Construction Data Scientist, reporting directly to the Global Construction Data Innovation Manager in Rome to join our Construction Data Science team based in Paris (France) and Rome (Italy).
The Global Construction Data Innovation (GCDI) is part of Global Construction, within Delivery Excellence division, and aims to develop and improve digital solutions, data science solutions (data analytics and AI), data accessibility and bi reporting for better estimating, preparing & controlling construction activities with the target to optimize construction resources, costs & duration.
The Construction Data Scientist will be part of the Construction Data Science team.
He/She will have mathematical and statistical expertise, along with natural curiosity and a creative mind. While mining and interpreting, and cleaning T.EN data, this person will be relied on to ask questions, connect the dots, and uncover hidden opportunities for realizing the data’s full potential.
He/She will support projects all around the globe to use their data as best as possible to create value and improve the management at site.
He/She will work on data produced from past construction projects for identifying benchmarking and construction patterns to optimize construction execution.
He/She will produce digital solutions to make construction management taking data driven decisions.
He/She will be at the interface between site teams, CMC teams, Data Office teams and IDS teams.
He/She will be part of the CMC team and will strive to continuously improve the performance of construction at site.
Construction Data Scientist will be performing the following task:
- Enable smarter business processes by using analytics for meaningful insights to help solve problems across various domains and industries.
- Analyze data to identify patterns and trends to deliver recommendations for the future.
- Visualization: develop data visualization and storytelling solutions.
- Business Understanding: collaborate with businesses to understand their needs and identify use cases to develop.
- IT understanding: collaborate with IT and Data Office for understanding the data frame where develop, deploy, and run digital and data science products.
- Data Understanding: analyze data for exploring data characteristics and their alignment with business use case.
- Data Preparation: interact with Data Engineering to set up the data sources and all steps of dataset preparation.
- Modelling & Validation: develop modelling methodology, features engineering, implement model, follow up model training and its validation, and definition of efficient model to deploy.
- Monitoring: monitoring and fine tuning of the model developed
- Deployment: interact with IT and Data Office for deployment and industrialization of data science and digital solutions developed
- Communicate findings to all stakeholders.
- Prepare and deliver documentation, training and webinar about data science.
- Staying up to date with the latest advancements in AI and scripting language.
