Job Specific Working Conditions:
Johnston County (“JoCo”) is one of the largest counties in NC and has one of the fastest growing populations in the state. JoCo has a balance of rural life with small town charm and is located at the crossroads of I-40 and I-95 for a quick drive to the Raleigh metro area or an easy day trip to the state’s many beaches. With a vibrant private airport & aggressive economic development group, both large industry & small businesses are booming here. The community has a strong faith-based background, and many outreach ministries serve a variety of populations and needs.
Johnston County Public Schools serves over 36,000 students and has doubled in size over the past 15 years. While the JoCo Young Life committee has established the most connections within the Cleveland and Clayton High School networks, opportunities for future growth are abundant across the county’s nine high schools.
Johnston County Young Life is searching for an Area Director to officially launch this ministry. The dedicated and passionate committee has been raising funds, praying around schools, and building partnerships in the community with families, local businesses, and area churches. We have several direct ties to area schools and have compiled a group of youth and adult volunteers who are interested in this ministry. Our ideal candidate would be comfortable initiating relationships with youth and school leaders, collaborating with and growing our current committee, and showcasing the relational work with youth to our financial stakeholders.
