Lead, Unit Team 2nd Shift

Core Responsibilities:                                                           

• Hold daily “kickoff” meetings with team members in your area of responsibility.
• Schedule work sequence for areas of responsibility based on the Production Plan.
• Schedule manpower for areas of responsibility based on Production Plan.
• Identify any gaps in Manpower, Machine, or Material and resolve/escalate as needed.
• Responsibility for efficiency, utilization, and scrap metrics.
• Responsible for training, coaching, and mentoring new and tenured employees.
• Provide feedback to the Production Supervisor and Ops Manager on employee performance.
• Support, direct and ensure accountability for employees within your area of responsibility.
• Identify areas of opportunity or improvement and work to get implemented.
• Identify cross training opportunities and communicate to the Supervisor.
• Fill production gaps as needed.
• Responsible for updating area Gemba Boards.
• Prepare Turnover reports (daily).

Qualifications: 

• Previous experience in a leadership role.
• Acts with integrity and the highest ethical behavior.
• Ability to use basic math to add, subtract, multiply, or divide. May work with fractions, decimals, or percentages.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface with all levels of the organization.
• Must have excellent organization, people skills, and experience working with others effectively.
• Working towards or willing to complete degree program preferred.

Education Requirements:

• High School or above
