About the role
Core Responsibilities:
- Hold daily “kickoff” meetings with team members in your area of responsibility.
- Schedule work sequence for areas of responsibility based on the Production Plan.
- Schedule manpower for areas of responsibility based on Production Plan.
- Identify any gaps in Manpower, Machine, or Material and resolve/escalate as needed.
- Responsibility for efficiency, utilization, and scrap metrics.
- Responsible for training, coaching, and mentoring new and tenured employees.
- Provide feedback to the Production Supervisor and Ops Manager on employee performance.
- Support, direct and ensure accountability for employees within your area of responsibility.
- Identify areas of opportunity or improvement and work to get implemented.
- Identify cross training opportunities and communicate to the Supervisor.
- Fill production gaps as needed.
- Responsible for updating area Gemba Boards.
- Prepare Turnover reports (daily).
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a leadership role.
- Acts with integrity and the highest ethical behavior.
- Ability to use basic math to add, subtract, multiply, or divide. May work with fractions, decimals, or percentages.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface with all levels of the organization.
- Must have excellent organization, people skills, and experience working with others effectively.
- Working towards or willing to complete degree program preferred.
Education Requirements:
- High School or above
