Position Specific Description

Palms Insurance is NextEra Energy’s wholly-owned insurance subsidiary that covers affiliate and non-affiliate risks. As a Sr. Business Analyst, you will assist the project managers in assessing problems and implementing solutions across the Palms organization. You will be responsible for collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to understand the business needs and develop requirement documents for projects. You will evaluate, manage, and monitor the organization's vendor management process. Success in this role requires strong communication, leadership capabilities, and a drive for continuous improvement. 

 

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
 

  • Creates and communicates presentation materials for report out and updates with various levels of internal and external stakeholders
  • Identifies issues and challenges, measures and validates results, and implements solutions
  • Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis
  • Lead and oversee the vendor management onboarding, monitoring, and annual certification process.

Job Overview

Employees in this role are responsible for supporting all budget activities for the department.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepares operating budgets, maintains records and audits accounts for units/departments
  • Compiles and reviews budgets, taking into consideration actual performance, previous expenditures and estimated expenses and income
  • Reviews departmental expenditures to ensure compliance with budget allocations
  • Maintains accurate spending records and establishes measures for budgetary control
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s - Accounting/Finance
  • Experience: 4+ years
