Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The qualification requirements listed below must be met by the closing date of this announcement. To qualify for this position at the GS-15 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following: Leading significant software and platform engineering efforts for enterprise or mission-critical environments, including integrating applications, data, infrastructure, and security using cloud-native architectures and modern software engineering practices; AND Applying advanced IT and engineering principles, including agile and iterative development, hands-on coding of production systems, and DevSecOps practices (for example, CI/CD, configuration management, automated testing, and modern deployment approaches) to design, develop, deploy, and operate secure, reliable applications and platforms; AND Using technical project management practices to translate complex technical and mission problems into clear engineering requirements, architectures, implementation plans, and communications for senior stakeholders; AND Leading cross-functional technical teams (for example, software engineering, data engineering, cybersecurity, and testing), including setting priorities, assigning work, and providing technical direction and feedback to team members in the delivery and operation of software systems.
