As a Senior Production Planner, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the production planning process to ensure efficient and timely delivery of our products. You will work cross-functionally with operations, procurement, demand planning, quality, and logistics to align planning activities with overall business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and deep understanding of production planning principles, MRP processes, and supply chain best practices within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


What you’ll do with us:

  • Develop and implement strategic production plans to meet customer demands while optimizing resources and minimizing costs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data on sales forecasts, inventory levels, and production capacity to create accurate production schedules.
  • Evaluate and adjust production plans based on changing market conditions, demand fluctuations, and internal constraints.
  • Analyze historical data and KPIs to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements that drive productivity.
  • Conduct regular capacity planning to assess production capabilities and recommend optimization strategies.
  • Leverage ERP (Microsoft D365) and advanced planning tools for MRP execution, performance tracking, and reporting.
  • Assist in MRP implementation to tie the S&OP forecast, production, and purchase plan to daily supply chain activities.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including potential overtime, weekend shifts, on-call duties, and variable hours as required by production demands.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  

  • Bachelor’s degree in, supply chain management, operations management, finance, information systems, or a related field. Relevant professional experience may substitute for formal education, depending on scope and depth of experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in supply chain, production planning, or manufacturing operations, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership capacity.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, make sound decisions, and effectively communicate insights across all levels of the organization.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, dashboards, and data analysis tools; experience with business intelligence (BI) reporting tools (e.g., Power BI) for data visualization and performance tracking. APICS certification is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of production planning principles, techniques, and methodologies.
  • Experienced in using ERP systems—particularly Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365)—for master production scheduling, material requirements planning (MRP), and inventory management
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic production environment, while maintaining a strong sense of urgency.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate potential production issues and develop contingency plans.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, six sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies is highly desirable.
