Part-Time, Interim Secretary, Division of Education

Alfred University's Division of Education is seeking a qualified individual for the temporary position as secretary to accommodate a leave of absence. The successful candidate will perform a variety of general secretarial and clerical duties, provide administrative assistance to division faculty members, monitor and reconcile the departmental budget, and welcome and assist students who visit the Education office. 

This position will begin on January 13, 2025, and continue through June 13, 2025. 

Rate: $16.00-$17.00 per hours

Requirements:

• Organization, efficiency, accuracy, initiative, the ability to manage multiple projects
• Strong professional written communication skills
• Positive interactions with students, faculty, University staff and school district personnel are crucial to successful performance in this position
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and web-based data management systems, such as Banner and Live Text, is expected. (Training provided.)
• The position also requires use of web-based data management systems, such as Banner and Live Text after brief training is provided

Experience:

• Previous secretarial experience is preferred but not required
