Senior Field Application Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION Power Integrations is the leading supplier of high-voltage, analog integrated circuits (ICs) used in powerconversion. Ourpatented EcoSmart® technology enables manufacturers to meet all current and proposed energy standardsworldwide, and continues to save consumers hundreds of millions of dollars each year on their electricity bills.  Job Responsibilities: We are currently looking to add a talented Senior Field Applications Engineer to our North American Sales team basedin the Western US region. To be successful in this role, candidates must have a strong desire to help otherengineers achieve the maximum performance and benefit from our products. As the technical lead in the salesorganization within the region, customers will look to you for guidance choosing the right products and for helpwith optimizing the implementation. You must also have strong organizational skills, the ability to workindependently, and of course, superior technical skills. You must also possess the willingness to perform detailedbench work to breadboard and test solutions for customers. Competencies: 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability and willingness to interface with customers on the telephone
• Ability to present Power Integrations product benefits to large and small groups
• Strong analytical and laboratory skills

Requirements: 

• BSEE or equivalent; MSEE or equivalent preferred
• 5+ years’ experience in a sales engineering role
• AC-DC Power Conversion design experience
• Demonstrated magnetics design experience
• Experience in one of the following end markets: UPS, Solid State Lighting, Metering, Appliances, Cell
• Phone chargers, Industrial controls, Notebook or PC Power Supplies preferred
• Prior experience as an FAE for semiconductor products used in power conversion applications preferred
• Working knowledge of EMI and Safety standards
• Willingness to travel up to 40% within region for on-site customer support

 Power Integrations is committed to building teams that drive innovation and therefore review a range of factors when determining compensation.  The annual base pay range for this position is $103,027    to $151,736. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, qualifications and work location.    The range displayed on the job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position in California.
