The recently formed Operational Readiness, Activation & Transition (ORAT) team is looking for a self-directed individual with demonstrated administrative and technical skills as their Project Assistant – Limited term to end on December 2026. ORAT is responsible for ensuring the safe and seamless opening of all new and renovated facilities by working extensively with Airport Authority employees, airlines, concessions and other key stakeholders to develop thorough testing, training, and full operations of existing or new facilities.

As Project Assistant, enjoy a flexible telecommuting schedule (currently 2 days remote, 3 days on-site) as you assist ORAT in the strategic planning of various airport operational topics and overall coordination of the Operations Division. The ideal candidate will also support the ORAT team and:

  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team and provide administrative and technical support for all phases of ORAT activities, including: creating/updating project trackers; coordinating calendars/meetings/events; participating in meetings and taking minutes; developing schedules, timelines and closeout processes; and ensuring accuracy of materials, documentation and flow of information.
  • Become proficient in the use of ORAT project software and provide high-level support for stakeholders.
  • Support administrative space planning by coordinating with stakeholders on warranty claims, requesting quotes, processing invoices, updating space plans and preparing and submitting detailed work orders.
  • Prepare/edit/update the following types of documents: agreements and amendments, specifications, submittals, RFIs, RFQs, invoice payments, staff reports, metrics, databases, correspondence, project closeouts, reference materials and other documents.
  • Participate in the design of processes, reengineering and integration of best practices; complete other assignments as requested.

  2. Demonstrated initiative, follow-through and works independently with sufficient supervision.
  3. Prioritize assignment deadlines, able to collaborate, balance multiple priorities, and complete assignments within expected time frame.
  4. Strong organizational, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  5. Ability to work with a diverse group of stakeholders.
  6. Proficiently use computer systems, word processing, database management and other software.

Requirements

Required Experience & Education:

  • Graduation from high school or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Five years of increasingly responsible technical or administrative support experience.
  • Or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Preferred Experience & Education:

  • Administrative experience within facilities or construction industry preferred.

The hiring salary is a minimum of $57,205.

Full salary range for a Project Assistant is $48,893-$78,229.
