Brown & Brown is seeking a Commercial Lines Senior Account Manager and Training Manager to join our team in Honolulu, Hawaii!

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Proposal/Bind Order – Prepare proposal, transmit to client, bind coverages per instructions
  • Summary of Insurance/Premium Allocation – Prepare and transmit to client as needed per account
  • Proofs (in accordance with Agency authority) – Issue Binders, Auto IDs, Certificates of Insurance/EPI (with a working knowledge of contract requirements and forms needed)
  • Invoicing/Handle Billing issues – Direct Bill, Agency Bill, Cancellations, Discrepancies, Collections, Refunds
  • Change Requests – Process requests, instructions to carrier(s), checking accuracy of endorsements, related transactions and transmittal to Insured
  • Policies – Check policy against bind instructions, handle discrepancies, transmit to Insured
  • Audits – Timely processing with understanding of handling disputes and payment issues
  • Claims – Obtain necessary information from Insured/claimant, issue loss notice, report incident to carrier and communicate claim and adjuster information to appropriate parties as needed
  • Contract reviews
  • Order underwriting documents as needed: Loss Runs, Experience Modification worksheet, MVRs, etc.
  • Obtain online documents (Policies, Dec Page, Endorsements, Payment info, etc.) from carrier portals
  • Document Agency Management System in accordance with company guidelines
  • Maintain client files, activities (follow-up & close as necessary)
  • Meetings – Attend internal/external meetings as necessary by AE, Department, Management, job function
  • Attend CE/other classes to enhance professional development and maintain licensing requirements
  • Handle all incoming requests and to respond to clients as needed
  • Will handle select accounts independently within assigned book
  • Perform in accordance with B&B Best Practices policy and procedures and/or Profit Center guidelines
  • Able to train new Account Managers
  • Manages a team of two or more direct reports
  • Responsible for verification of Agency Bill reports

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • High School Diploma
  • Positive attitude, dependability, strong work ethic, and maintaining a positive culture in the workplace
  • Technical knowledge of insurance coverages
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Exceptional communication/demeanor (written & verbal) with internal and external individuals
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and ethical conduct
  • Professional office experience, etiquette and appearance
  • Valid Hawaii Insurance Producer License – Property & Casualty (Life & Health if applicable)
